The cold desert lands are inhabited by a tribe of humanoid creatures whose lives depend on the energy inside them.

During the Haze, when Emptiness comes to replace Clarity, a terrible thing happens to one of the tribal ones – he loses all energy and goes away into the darkness.

His tribesman goes in search of the missing man. Exploring the world with a Touch, he must figure out how to save his friend and bring him home.
